Family Trip: Costa Del Sol Holiday
July 31st to August 13th
Marbella, Malaga, Gibraltar, the Al Hambra in Granada…the south of Spain is a beach and tennis paradise where our junior Tennis: Europe teams have played for years and was the location of our last adult team.
We have a wide choice of base clubs to stay and practice at, from Estepona to Marbella, Spain
We plan to play friendly matches in singles and doubles for most of our 9 days in Spain. Additionally, several clubs like TC Costa del Sol have evening “mix in” doubles tournaments for visitors which consists of a round robin for several hours, followed by a social hour and snack buffet afterwards.
For those of you who wish to either learn or improve your Spanish speaking, optional Spanish language classes will be available weekdays from July 17-21 for several hours each day after our tennis has been completed.
The Coast del Sol or “Sun Coast” is one of the most attractive tourist destinations in the world with its natural beauty of beaches, rustic mountain countryside and whitewashed houses. Whether you visit the picturesque mountain village of Mjias, experience the jet set nightlife of Marbella or explore the cathedral, Alcazaba and museums of the capital city of Malaga, this combination of beach time and Spanish culture will impress you. The nearby British colony of Gibraltar, with its famous rock, will fascinate you with its ape’s den, the great siege tunnels, dolphin-watching boat trip, St. Michael’s cave and British shopping streets. Another option is a half-day trip to Granada to see its world-famous palace, the Alhambra, the stunning Moorish monument in Andalusia. Take in the palace gardens, lavish chambers and marble baths, its history and legends, along with its spectacular scenic views.
The cost of the trip includes all housing in three to four star hotels based on double occupancy, traveling coaches, breakfasts, transportation within Europe, airport to hotel transfers, tennis instruction and all tennis fees, group sightseeing, pre-trip mailings and services of Tennis: Europe in making all arrangements. Tennis: Europe can also arrange round trip flights to Europe. If we have a group of at least 10 participants, we can arrange group airfare.
Maximum of 16 participants per trip. Ability level: 3.0 NTRP or higher (mastered basics, ready to play matches). We also have the ability to adjust our match and tournament schedules based upon your ability level.
Deadline to Register: May 15th
