Family Trip: Dutch to Prague Team

July 31st to August 13th

This tennis trip combines two of our favorite countries: Holland and the Czech Republic. We begin at the Amstelpark Tennis Academy in Amsterdam, with state-of-the art training facilities, 21 clay courts, 11 indoor courts and optional fitness and spa facilities at the upscale Spa Sport Zuiver, where we will stay. We spend our first 4 ½ days getting familiar with the red clay courts of Europe and receiving coaching from both our team coaches and certified Dutch tennis coaches. We also play friendly matches against some of the local Dutch players. We visit Amsterdam during the week to see sights like the Anne Frank house, the Van Gogh or Rijksmuseum, take a canal boat ride and stroll the walking shopping streets. We then fly to Prague, Capital of the Czech Republic and a UNESCO World Heritage City, where we will play one or two tournaments and a friendly match. Our host club for the week is the Oaza Tennis Club, where we will hold our practice sessions. Our housing is at a 4 star hotel which is a short walk from Oaza. Czech tournaments typically have both singles and doubles events. We are a short metro ride from downtown with popular major sites including Prague Castle, the Charles River Bridge, the Old Town Square and the former Jewish Quarter. Prague was also the birthplace of writer Franz Kafka, where his house has been turned into a museum. One of our former junior coaches, Pavla Mesterova, is a native of Prague and will be our guide during our visit to the “City of a Hundred Spires.”

The cost of the trip includes all housing in three to four star hotels based on double occupancy, traveling coaches, breakfasts, transportation within Europe, airport to hotel transfers, tennis instruction and all tennis fees, group sightseeing, pre-trip mailings and services of Tennis: Europe in making all arrangements. Tennis: Europe can also arrange round trip flights to Europe. If we have a group of at least 10 participants, we can arrange group airfare.

Maximum of 16 participants per trip. Ability level: 3.0 NTRP or higher (mastered basics, ready to play matches). We also have the ability to adjust our match and tournament schedules based upon your ability level.

Deadline to Register: May 15th
